HeardBack

Know the moment a company writes back.

HeardBack watches your inbox for replies and reminds you to check the portals you applied through.

HeardBack is a free personal job-application tracker for Gmail. It uses read-only inbox access to detect replies from companies you've applied to and notifies you the moment one arrives.

Read-only Gmail access, so replies never get missed.

The reply was there all along.

Applications scatter across inboxes and career portals. The email that changes your week lands between a promo and a bank alert, so you either dig through everything daily or find the good news late.

Found it three days later.

Connect once. That's the setup.

Your Google sign-in is also the permission. HeardBack can read new mail to spot replies, and that is the whole deal. It can never send, delete, or move a thing.

Assessment due Friday. Noted.

HeardBack read it, understood it, and updated your tracker while you slept.

The moment it lands, so does this.

You'll know before your coffee does.

Silence gets an ending too.

"If you don't hear from us within two weeks..." often means never, and never is a hard thing to wait for. HeardBack counts the days, and when the window closes, it says so. The waiting ends either way.

Questions people actually ask.

What is HeardBack?

HeardBack is a free personal job-application tracker for Gmail. It watches your inbox for replies to jobs you've applied to and alerts you the moment one arrives.

How does it know a company replied?

HeardBack watches your inbox for new mail and checks whether it's related to a job you've applied for, even when the reply comes through a third party like an assessment platform. When it finds a match, it flags the reply and updates your tracker automatically.

Can it send or delete my email?

No. HeardBack only ever reads your inbox, using read-only Gmail access, so it can't send or delete anything. You can revoke that access anytime from your Google account settings.

What if a company never replies?

You can set a response window when you log an application, matching whatever the portal promised. When that window closes with no reply, HeardBack marks it Window Expired, so you get closure instead of waiting indefinitely.

Does it cost anything?

No, HeardBack is free to use.

Which email providers work?

HeardBack works with Gmail. Other providers aren't supported yet.
